I wish I'd got into it when I was young (& fitter) I might have been a tv gardener by now! It just happened through necessity & I amazed myself how I could actually learn so many latin names. (My ex-husband says he never saw me becoming a keen gardener, mmm I never saw him in the garden!!) My garden isn't what I'd really like it to be but I have to plan for the future which means making it easier. I'll get son no 2 to put some pics on my comp - I'm hopeless. He's created his own (& other people's) website I'll see if he can do something for me & will share them as soon as I can!
mullein has some pics that you can see on here but I don't know where at the moment.
Come on woofgang - February pics in August? That's not good enough!! Lovely though!
If anyone has ever been to Brighton on the A23, there's a large park called Preston park. Opposite that, there's a huge rock garden with a large pond and big waterfall. I'm the head gardener there. If anyone knows how i can get pics up, or add a link, i'll take some photos next week. Unfortunately, my back garden currently resembles a battle zone. I'm building a new 3,000 gallon koi pond which will also site my vast bonsai collection and japanese garden ornament collection. |
Now that does sound professional andy!!
This is some rock garden!! When you've done your garden you can do mine please - I'd love a Japanese style area!
Andyjevs - we passed Preston Park just the other week, we went to Brighton to see the Sand Sculptures, didn't stop off at the park though - wish we had now, it looks great.

SteveD's garden is nice ,lovely and tidy.It must be huge if that is just a bit of it. I am looking for low maintenance now.We have such a lot of shrubs that need cutting back all the time.
We have that lovely ceanothus Puget Blue which is a picture in the spring but boy does it grow!!
thanks to everyone for that, all the pics are really nice, looks like I have the tiniest garden of all.I amazed myself when I discovered I enjoyed gardening and I was quite good at it,unforetunately the previous owners paved it all over and every I have is in pots.
