I thought the idea was to get away form such civilized things as an address the world can reach you.

You could rent a PO Box but you'd still need to go check & get whatever came. Maybe you need to tell folk you only want contact on your PAYG mobile ? Or e-mail ? Or ask a family member / friend to act as a "care of" place and they can contact you.
Adventure-lite. ;)

O G I still need to pay taxes though and get insurance for everything.. PO box is interesting though.. I will look into that
You might be unique among travellers, paying tax.

lol sandy I wont be hanging out with the normal travellers I will be going to cap sites etc.. Like a part time traveller
Don't camp sites close up for the winter?
and to answer the question, poste restante?

Thank you, jno. I am really surprised.
Good, but it does still suggest you have one designated mailbox you have to go to to check and collect. I didn't see an option to change it on a weekly basis to near where you are. Maybe one needs to stay at a camp site for at least a fortnight at a time and get one's family to forward it there, on request.
Carrier Pigeon ? :-)
Why do you 'still have to pay taxes' by post?
This site offers actual 'street addresses ' for travellers

Poste Restante... To get your mail you need proof of your address. dont think that will work:

Pick up your post
Pop into your designated Post Office branch to pick up your mail. It would be ideal for you to take your passport as a form of identification for you. If you normally live in the UK, and travelling within the UK, you must also take proof of your address with you such as a utility bill in order to collect your mail.
I guess you will need a fixed abode to receive Social Benefits. Best go down and speak to them.
When my BILaw is travelling I get his mail & skype info. ebanking, sms & emails cover most of his needs.

don't you have an address now that you could use to set up poste restante?
People who live on canal boats and are continuos cruisers must manage somehow join a forum canal world is one I visit
You're not really dropping out, are you. Just having a long caravan vacation.
