Today I am making homemade turkey mince burgers, this makes 6 good sized burgers. Mix packet of turkey mince, one finely chopped onion, one crushed garlic clove, teaspoon dried mustard, 2 x teaspoon Bouillon stock powder, ground black pepper, sprinkle of dried mixed herbs, a shake of cayenne pepper, a shake of smoked paprika, shake of tumeric .... give it all a jolly good mix then cover and leave in fridge for a few hours, in a large heavy bottomed frying pan gently heat some olive oil, mould and shape your burger mix into equal size pieces, roll them in flour, patting off any excess, gently fry until cooked thru, turning them every few minutes, when cooked place them in crispy rolls spread with mayonnaise, add sliced gherkins and tomato ....... beautiful and fresh, enjoy!

They sound delicious but I wouldn't want to fry them. Can you grill them without them falling apart?
Scrap the mayo for a low fat burger.

Tilly2, I've never tried grilling them so I cant say, fried in good olive oil everytime for me. :)
Tilly, because turkey is so low in fat grilling them will risk the burgers being rather dry. A decent non stick frying pan and just a touch of oil will give a much better result.

Personally I think grilling just about all meat is a crime against food!
I don't like grilled meat either.

Tilly, you can replace the turkey with pork mince and add grated apple to recipe, grilling them will be ok, but i wouldn't roll them in flour as it will burn them.
Thanks, stp. I might try the minced pork idea.
