Sex And The City, Seriously Why Does Anyone Like This?

Just watched this and just don't understand- it's not at all funny, it's certainly not sexy, and the acting and script are just awful. The men in it are called Tray and Big and Sarah JP just waves her chin about and flirts by getting within 3 inches of a guy's face and falling around. And that opening sequence? Don't want to sound bitchy considering it seems to be about fashionable women, but what IS she wearing and that last shot of her, oh dear.
Was, or is this really successful? There are a lot of dreadful American serials out there but I can usually see why they are liked at least.

I agree with you, but there again the only American series I have enjoyed lately has been Breaking Bad

OMG yeah, Breaking Bad was seriously good. I was referring more to American sitcoms really.

I never watched it. I only ever saw trailers for it and that was more than enough. The only people I know who watched it, are gay.

Never ever seen it - busy catching up on The Mentalist right now - that is classy drama, and as for Ms. Van Pelt .....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I often enjoy American sitcoms but SATC was never my thing either ...same goes for Friends.
(When it comes to popular British comedy I can't stand Gavin and Stacey).
