like why do manufacturers make this crap ? ceramic one next time. are you suppose to do a certain type of cooking on these pans or what , why does everything stick on them, can understand why they are still in production . i mean you go to a burger van , the guy makes you an egg on his hotplate, it comes off easilly, it cooks well and it tastes good, why is my frying pan sticky !!!!!!!!!!

Because the guy at the burger van uses 2 litres of oil on his hot plate.
Is it non stick?
they will make them while people will buy them. I stick to (ha ha) the teflon type and stuff doesn't stick. QVC cooks essentials comes with a lifetime guarantee.
Was it supposed to be non-stick ?

Try putting a little salt in first, I seem to recall reading somewhere that helps discourage sticking. The van man has probably done something similar.
Buy cheap, buy twice, especially with pans.
It's all about technique and a good pan. Once you have a decent pan you then need to make sure you lubricate it. I've used £90 frying pans in the past and without a good technique they show the same results as a pound land special.
A quick google - http://www.cesa.org.uk/products/cesa-buying-guides/understanding-cookware/

" the pan has to be seasoned before use. A layer of salt is put on the inside base and heated up. The effect of this is to seal any surface imperfection in the base of the pan. The salt is removed, replaced by cooking oil and heated till it smokes. The pan is then ready for use."
Hear hear OG
There's a problem Diesel dick
To the pan your egg did stick
If the pan says "non-stick" - stop
Take it back now to the shop.
After seasoning don't wash it with detergent as this removes the non stick surface you've created.
if only the media, TV, magazines, supermarkets etc, would tell us how to cook an egg every now and again.
carrust: It's not very often I season a pan then wash it, even with water. I'd much prefer to lightly oil the pan then season the food - maybe I've been doing wrong all these years.
Seasoning a pan is not actual seasoning :-)
Ummmm: I know, I was attempting sarcasm :) anyway you, you haven't replied to me on messenger!
Unless you eat the pan, ummmm
Don't forget I'm a dab hand in the kitchen and did run my own baking business. I'm a chef tha knows!
You are buying the wrong eggs! Buy the non-stick-ones:)

You are buying the wrong eggs! Buy the non-stick-ones:) haha very good....anyway yes the pan is a good solid steel one, i recall in past someone telling me to season a pan especially a wok. i will try the seasoning method now. but really , the burger van guy buys his new cooking stove, how does he get a plate that seems to cook good and nothing sticks ? it was obviosly new at the start like my pan. ill be buying a good ceramic off ebay, any suggestions ?
He seasoned his hot plate first.
