Neighbours Squeaking Washer Very Annoying, Please Help

Hi,
My next door neighbours annoying squeaking washer is very irritating and they keep leaving it on for long amounts of time as well. I could hear it nearly all day yesterday and can still hear it now. I think they even left it on over night (who needs there washer on that long seriously). I don't really feel comfortable going round because I don't like them lol. I know it sounds silly but the noise is really bugging and I don't think there going to do anything about it soon because there just seem so clueless. Should I write a letter or something. BTW I don't live in a flat its a semi-detached house.

Whether you like them or not, the first step is to address it with them. Personally is best but if you really can't do that then a FRIENDLY note.

I agree with Wolfgang, they may not even know the machine is making a noise, I had a bra wire stuck in the drum which causes a right racket but fortunately it was removed without causing too much damage. A friendly note (and Christmas card?) may help. You can only try!

are you sure its a washer? (i am assuming you mean a washing machine)

I was wondering the same Fluff- a washer going for over 24 hours almost constant is most bizarre even for a large family.

I would have a quiet and friendly word,maybe take a Christmas card too.

Agree with the others, no one would keep a washing machine on that long. The noise must be something else. Central heating pump perhaps?

It is the washing machine have just had a word with him now and he said he have a look. Hopefully it will be fixed soon so me ears rest lol
