Camellia Problems??

My mum has a Camellia which is several years hold,she has it in a pot and she wanted to know if it would flower like this or would it better off in the garden?

I have just 'inherited' two Camellias in pots. They have lots of buds on and look very healthy. I was told that the lady who owned them has had them several years.
Also my next door neighbour has one in a pot and one in the garden and they both flower well.

It shouldn't be too much of a problem for flowering if kept in a pot as long as it's well drained, watered and fed.
My camellia's have all been in the ground, they do seem to grow very, very deep roots eventually as they grow (as I found when I had to dig one up this year) - so it really depends if she wants to keep it in one place (planted), or move it somewhere else eventually (potted)?

My camellia was in a pot in the garden and looked beautiful and flowered every year but then one year it was stolen. I never replaced it. They look stunning when in full bloom.

How does it flower? If it seems happy and it is not too big then just give it a nice feed at the right time and enjoy .It is not fully hardy in the UK and it would be a risk outside
