Feeling really chuffed with myself - never tried before but read a tip to grow new potatoes in a veggie sack outside to be ready for Christmas. Selected 5 nice Charlotte potatoes from a bag from Aldi in August/September (can't remember exactly when) and planted them. Never really bothered about watering or feeding them and thought I would have totally lost them to the frost - BUT have just harvested them and have about 24 beautiful yummy new potatoes ready to put with a sprig of mint from the garden ready to cook for our Christmas dinner! Great!! Hubby is well impressed!
