Electric Under Blanket

I've been given one of these,and it seems tonight's cold will warrant its use.
I currently have a big thick duvet under my fitted sheet...for extra warmth,and softness,as the mattress surface can be a bit uncomfortable. Can I put the blanket under the duvet,or is that too many layers? Does it have to be placed under just the fitted sheet?

you can put a sheet between the duvet and the fitted sheet if you wish. I wouldn't be without my blanket at the moment.

It should say in the instructions. I would think that it should be placed directly under the bottom sheet.

Instead of a duvet under your fitted sheet, why not get a Memory foam mattress topper?

It does say to put under the fitted sheet. I'm just wondering if it will feel 'hard'....I sound like the princess and the pea here. So will it be OK on top of the duvet I have on the mattress? ( until I get a mattress topper...I've meant to for a while).

I have my electric placed directly on top of my mattress. I then have a 10.5 duvet covering the mattress. Both covered by a cotton sheet.
On top I have a 13.5 duvet. I put the electric blanket on about 30 mins before I go to retire, and I get into a warm cosy bed.

The electric blanket should be put next to the mattress. Then you can put the other layers on top of it but it`s not advisable to put an electric blanket under a memory foam mattress topper.
