New Tomtom Advice Please.
4 Answers
I have a 20 year old TomTom with a very dead battery so it is no good outside the car. I am going away next week so would like to buy a new one to walk around towns plus to direct me on the roads. Please can anyone recommend a really good TomTom. I like the make but on the Amazon reviews there are a lot of discontented buyers!! My old one is great. Any advice gratefully received, as Im really lost. Bramley.

If you're going to use it for walking round towns you need to consider the battery life; from that point of view the smaller the screen the better.
I bought a Garmin for that purpose a year or so ago (I already had an old TomTom Go 910 that I'd used in the car but that was too bulky). The battery life wasn't as good as I'd expected from the spec so I have to keep turning it off; it takes longer to find its satellites than the TomTom does, so I'm not impressed.
