Remote Control Gas Fire

We had one of the above fitted yesterday, it's great..when it works.
However, the remote handset is proving a bit hit and miss and I was wondering if anyone else has one of these and could offer any advice. Thanks :)

Sorry can't help but I would love to be able to turn a radiator down rather than having to turn off the whole system.

Have you checked the batteries in the remote ?

Daisy that control valve is stuck open.
ethandron, maybe the range on your remote needs widening ( don't know how to do it though ).

The receiver unit on ours is loose in the space below the fire, it needs to be placed close to the front of the fire and the right way round.

Complain to the store. Get them to send you another remote then you can see whether the fault is with the remote or the fire.
