Got up at 6 o'clock, walked into the semi-dark kitchen and slipped on a pile of diarrhoea. Tilly had been unwell during the night.
Went outside to fetch the mop and bucket, brought it into kitchen and, placing it in the sink, filled it with hot bleach water.
Being in a bit of a rush to get the smelly mess cleaned up, I yanked the mop bucket out of the sink and.............. half of the bottom of the bucket stayed in the sink. Like an idiot, instead of putting itback in the sink, I rushed to the door to get it outside with hot water cascading behind me.
Slippers ruined, floor well and truly washed, just sat down with a soothing cup of tea.
As I said, that's one job done.
Good start to the day, hey?
Oh dear, AC. You'd better stay in today. I hope you feel better soon.
Sandy, I dug over the hole on Friday and yesterday there were two holes. These were much smaller though. I think it might be wood mice. I did speak to the neighbour with the chickens and he said he'd have a look and let me know if he found anything.
I'll hide myself indoors today and tomorrow. Don't want to spread it to anyone. It's typical, I've worked 8 hard days straight as was really looking forward to my two days off. I'll catch up on the housework, instead
She's asleep on the settee. She's been outside and come back in but didn't want her usual breakfast biscuit. I'll keep an eye on her. Thanks for asking, LB. x
AC, it might just be a one off. You might feel a bit better, later. Take care.
jd, yes. A nice quiet uneventful day would be a blessing.
I blame myself for leaving my mop bucket in the garden. It has obviously perished in the sun. It was very old and now I need a new one. I might get a new mop as well.
