I have a lovely Tamarisk tree in my garden but it has grown from the central stem to one side. I was wondering if it would be OK to cut back all the branchy growth back to the central stem. Will it sprout out again?
I have a Tamarisk in my front garden which regularly grows over the pavement and my drive. It has been cut back most severely several times and in a short time is back to it`s full splendour. Not being a gardener I have not attempted to make it a nice shape but it certainly seems to thrive on being cut back.
I have just moved mine (don't know if its the right time) and it started to go brown and looked like it was dying . I have cut it right back and it seems to have picked up and it looks a better shape.
