Thank you all for your diligence and suggestions, it's paid off I now know it's EUPHORBIA, it was suggested by a couple of people and I found the pictures on Google. I will now try and buy some for my own garden.
Once again thank you all for your help and kind suggestions.

Best answer for hammerman on your other thread jellybun, that would be nice.

I'm so glad you managed to track it down
Is this a cousin to Euphoria?
On the other hand...sometimes thankyou's get lost if posted on the same thread. They notice a new one. ;-)

I thought I would do a new post as I didn't know how many people would keep going back to the old post to see if I had answered. I thought that anyone helping me originally would know what it was about by my post title, as you who answered clearly did. I'm sorry if I have offended anyone by not sticking to the unwritten rules.

No offence taken, but they are not unwritten, I Copied and Pasted it from the Guidelines
;-)
Nice thought jellybun x
Question Author
As you said Baldric they are guidelines, but not rules as such, and as I said, I'm sorry if I upset anyone.
Thank you Elina for your kind reply.
I couldn't personally see anything wrong in your post jelly.
Pleased you found the answer to your mystery plant Jellybean and thanks for posting.

Rules are there to be broken!
Please check when you buy your euphorbia to see how toxic the sap is. Some euphorbias have poisonous sap.
Question Author
Thank you atlanta I had no idea they could be poisonous, I will bear that in mind when buying one. Is it poisonous to other plants or to a person who touches the sap?
Oh dear, you have upset the AB police
Best be vvv careful of the sap from euphorbia, as is stated here..

http://www.theamateursdigest.com/epoisons.htm

Many plants in the family Euphorbiaceae are dangerous if you handle them carelessly. In some cases, just one drop of latex on your skin can cause a rash the severity of which depends on how each individual reacts to it. If the white, milky latex touches a cut or sore or squirts into your eyes, you are courting trouble of major proportions.
Question Author
Thank you boxtops, I will proceed with caution, I will still buy one but just watch and enjoy it, but will not be touching under any circumstances. It could be used to kill someone, it's better than leaving the soap at the top of the stairs.
Just out of curiosity you understand....how much sap would it take in say, a night time cup of cocoa for instance to do some......errr.....damage?.....☻

Beautiful plant.....had lots in my last garden with not problems....and will spread as much as you allow......x
Question Author
Thank you gness for the info, I'll have to be careful it doesn't overtake the garden.
Hmm you've got me wondering about the cocoa now, I wonder if it's tasteless, if not would the cocoa disguise the taste?

I'll let you know, Jellybun..... ;-)
never drink anything at gness's house.
Question Author
gness and tonyav, you two did make me laugh, that's made my night.
I'll take your advice tonyav, and gness I'd hate to think you had killed someone but if you do, I would be interested in the outcome, e.g how much sap you used etc.
