plant's name?

i have a tall plant in a pot that is actually several stems plaited around each other and are woody. the leaves grow on green stems from the top of the woody part and are 'hand' shaped. i have forgotten the plants name, can anyone help please?

could it be a cheese plant
Shefflera ????...although they might have changed their name !!!
Shefflera is commonly called the Umbrella Tree.  An example with plaited stems can be seen here.

many thanks everyone. yes it is a shefflera (umbrella tree).  now i know what it is i can safely prune it as it's getting a bit out of control!
