or an outbuilding?

I am thinking of getting a Beko upright freezer for the garage but am concerned that mice might make a nest under it.

We have several mice in the garage, I think. The chewed up plastic bags give them away.

Buy a cat. Or a few traps.
Yes and no problems touch wood
Used to at our last house, Yilly. never had any problems.
Yes I have got one in the garage, it has to be a Beko as it is the only one that is guaranteed for an outhouse.

When we pulled the old one out there had been a mouse nest in the space by the compressor, obviously nice and warm, but it had not done any damage. The joys of living in the country and backing on to a farm.
Is a Beko safe?
I have now got a Beko freezer, tumble dryer and washing machine, no problems so far. Oldest is tumble dryer about 4 years.
I do not want to put a spanner in the works as I presently have an upright Beko fridge/freezer(no problems)but after all the furore in the past I don't think I would ever buy another one.

Beko is the only one recommended by John Lewis as appropriate for a garage or outbuilding.

I suppose traps might be the answer, Zacs. I would rather not do that though. I certainly will not buy a cat! Unthinkable.
Oh no of course. Tilly would be atop aplor aplow. Cross.
I wonder if this is the same well-known retailer?

I doubt very much they'll nest underneath it, due to the noise/vibration.
We've had our Hotpoint freezer in the garage since 2007-2008 and it was 10 years old then. Only put out when new kitchen fitted with fridge and freezer
Same here Psybbo thre freezer we ousted was over 20 years old, unfortunately new regulations have come in and Beko are the only ones who have gone to the expense to still produce a freezer that complies. All the others gave up making anything suitable for an outshouse.
well.....yes I have got a giant chest freezer in the garage. its on castors and even though its big, its easy to wheel out to sweep behind....that's the good bit. The less good bit is that we had a rat in the garage and i found half a dead snake and a lobster shell behind the freezer :( I don't think that having a freezer in the garage makes rodents more or less likely.

Rats, OMG!

Yont, yes. One of those Bekos. I'm going get it from Co-op Electricals, £100 pounds off at the moment. If I get it. Not too sure yet. Our garage is very dusty and cluttered.
Get it dusted and uncluttered then, Yilly.

It's the floor. It's not sealed.
