Graduation Day

went to oh's youngest's graduation today..2.2 in law..it was so emotional and I had a good greet..my hands are sore with all the clapping and I have come home drained...what a wonderful wonderful day it has been...everyone should have such a fantastic boy in their lives..I am so proud...if you ever get the chance like I have had today make sure you take plenty of tissues !

It's a proud day indeed, thought I was going to burst - but that could have been a tight waistband! It is wonderful to see your kids achieve something that you never got the chance to. I'm glad you had such a lovely day x

Oh I got a 2:1 !

by day a rat-catcher but last year the Intellect ploughed Land Law and I was asked by night to be a law tutor. Mission impossible - to get a years land law into Thing in a month ! We are desperate said the worried father. and I did ! Thing was kinda less worried - more so completely laid back she was horizontal

So this year I undertook regular toots in Employment ( wh I hadnt previoulsy done ) and Equity - which I had. And by Gooly by the end of the year I knew a lot about both .... but did Thing ? All ask.

Now she wants me to come to grad day and not her doting parents - oo-er ! I can wear my College Treasurer's goon. Along with a suit I hasten to add.

Is there a ***-up at any point ? I dont drive....

A load of average intelligence students in funny hats and gowns with applauding relatives fawning all over them, getting the photographs ready for the lounge cabinet.
Naaah! not my scene.

Well done him, Minty.
We were passing the university in a taxi today and saw graduates in their gowns. I said to the driver they'll probably be going up to the Bot(local student bar) for one or two last drinks.
He said students don't use it a lot now. And added when he was a student he was never out of it.

I should have added there ^ that it's probably only in Belfast that you'd get graduates driving taxis.

PP......results on the Friday and started work in the NHS the following week.
No time for graduation malarkey.

That was the case in the London Teaching Hospitals, I can't comment about the Provincial or Scottish medical schools.
