.....lots of blisses......

I left the garden centre with a cart load of plants having spent most of my £100 gift......to hear the sound of.....

Vulcan!

Flying low over the garden centre car park......trolleys abandoned, cameras out and lots of waving....

I phoned a couple of friends to say it was heading their way but.....it turned and went into what I was told was a holding pattern....above our heads.....what would I know....

But I do know that it circled us....tipping its wings....for about ten minutes....

Happy drive through the countryside to home......where I found I had been undercharged by £10 for my plants....so that means.....

Another trip to the garden centre to pay up....and buy more plants....

Now if Stephen Fry turns up for dinner tonight my day will have been more than perfect......☺

Vulcan was posting on here not so long ago - he must have sprouted wings! Did he wave back at you ?
Question Author
He winked, Margo.....the devil!....☺
I've always had my suspicions about him Gness ;-)
What a wonderful day, gness! (As long as Mr. Fry also brings the wine.)

Here, we found a beautiful, hidden valley just over the hill from our village which offers a marvellous, completely peaceful 1 and a half mile walk - and the sun shone. :) (Raining now :( .)
Getting my boy back from his 9 day school trip :)
Question Author
It was a well used wink, Margo...... ;-)

J...If Mr Fry turns up we won't need wine.....♥......
Sounds like the nature walk I discovered in Corby......beautiful and so peaceful......x

Hi, Sherr....first one away from home?......I know that feeling too....x
He's been on residentially before but not for as long as this and not abroad.
Question Author
I know....you're happy for them to have the experiences......but it's great to have them back home......and you now have all the stories to share with him.....x
If S.F does turn up he might give you a hand with the "bedding" plants.
We stood waiting patiently for Vulcan but sadly he spent all his spare time and fuel over you today Gness! :( Lucky you! :)

PS Have emailed you.

Well, Baza......Stephen may just have to take second place because Ann has just informed me that The Red Arrows may be overhead tonight.....and fickle lass that I am........I adore seeing the Arrows fly.....☺

Thanks, Ann.....and sorry you missed it.....I was in Bosworth's in Burton Latimer......and had forgotten to look at the plan for today's route so it was a delightful surprise and nice to share with all the others in the car park....
And yes....it did go over my house too.....☺
Do you fancy Barry Manilow now he is married too ;-)
Question Author
Do I fancy Barry Manilow???......Not in a million years, Cupid....I'd rather date an Aunt Bessie's Yorkie....x
When the Vulcan did the southern route a couple of Sundays ago I was all set camera at the ready from 1415 until 1445 , due at Southend at 1426, ll I saw were Easyjets, Vulcan flew over the opposite side town. Sick as a parrot.
Yep, more tasty, lol!
Question Author
Same with me a few weeks ago, Baza.....my house was directly under the route.....the take off was delayed and things changed.....think Ann saw it that day but I was like you...sick as a parrot...
And we're not going to see it after this year.....such a shame....x
//Ann has just informed me that The Red Arrows may be overhead tonight//

Yes for anyone in the right area they fly from RAF Brize Norton 19.45 back to RAF Scampton arriving there at 20.05. We always follow their flights on this website
http://www.raf.mod.uk/reds/displays/displayseasontransittimes.cfm

or just Google Red Arrows display season and transit times.

Hope we see them! :)
Question Author
Thanks, Ann.......think you have more chance of seeing them than I do.....so I'll just have to hope Stephen calls....x

When I was watching Vulcan today it was in formation with The Blades.....I often see them flying so I had a google and......

For £1200 I could have a day with The Blades......as a fare paying passenger.....

I have a legacy coming to me soon.....I really am tempted to spend some of it on this......

Dare I.....☺
