Freezer...manual Defrost Or Frost-Free?

Thinking of replacing our 12 yr old manual defrost freezer (what a chore to defrost too) and seeing there are lots of freezers now which come 'frost free'. Can anyone tell me please which they prefer and if you have a frost-free freezer would you recommend it or to keep with a manual defrost?

Why would you want to continue with the chore of defrosting your freezer ?

Frost free. Do you really need all that hassle every few months. Life's too short for defrosting freezers.

Thanks y'all. All I was concerned about was if there could be problems with it heating up and then cooling down inside which keeps it frost free. No way did I want to defrost another freezer again if I could help it but wanted to check if others had changed to f-f and found it ok. Many thanks for all your help...now the chore of looking for the right one lol.
