Does anyone know of a product that will stop a small Axminster carpet square moving on a new Axminster carpet? Have had a look at earlier questions on this site asked some years ago seeking an answer to this problem but they seem to be for keeping mats from slipping on wooden floors, but I need to lift it occasionally to vacuum beneath. I have purchased a product that you stick to the back of the carpet/mat with plastic claws on the back but these are about as useful as a chocolate fireguard

Any answers would be most welcome.

You can buy a plastic mesh from Robert Dyas, John Lewis, any carpet shop etc that is designed to stop rugs slipping.

They come in different sizes.
There is also a blanket type you can get although I've not tried it.
ikea also sell anti slip thing
You can't beat the one we bought from John Lewis a couple of years ago. It has a 'tacky' side that adheres to the rug. You won't have to lift the rug to vacuum because it will not move a millimetre.
Me again. On the JL website they're called non slip rug holds. Check out the reviews!
