We picked up our spanking new car in silver on Tuesday. We are thinking about putting a few small stickers on the car, is this likely to damage the paintwork when we remove them or will the area around the sticker look faded when we remove the stickers in 3 years time when we replace it.
Check with your insurance before you stick anything anywhere on your car
At Direct Line, stickers on a vehicle would count as a cosmetic modification and be judged on “an individual basis”, whereas other insurers such as LV= say stickers don’t count
If it's a lease car and the paint has discoloured round where the stickers were, you could find yourself having to pay to get that remedied. And that could be expensive. I'd put any stickers on a window. On the edge of the window, obviously.
With the exception of a GB sticker, which you can now get in magnetic form, I'm at a loss to think of what stickers you could possibly want to put on a car!
Why remove them? I change my car every 3years and just leave them on ( I only have 1 or 2 usually). No dealer has ever mentioned them, they just take it as it is and always get a good price.
