Knitting Pattern - Unisex Baby Hat
11 Answers
I'm looking for a nice baby hat pattern, something relatively simple as more of a keepsake to knit for a friend who is expecting as a gift.
Nothing too complicated as my hands are hit and miss with RA and never got to grips with circular needles (have some and need to try them though!) and use normal straight needles.
No idea on the sex of the baby so would need to be suitable for a girl or boy, will knit in a nice white or cream wool. I have cable needles but haven't done too much with them so far.
Have got a fair while to go so can do it in little bits. If it goes well and my hands play nice will try some booties too.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Aww that's so lovely! I will always keep a teddy bear which was hand made especially for me. He's looking a little overloved now as used to sleep with him every night but will never through him away.
I was thinking more keepsake as handknitted don't stand up to the washing and wearing so much as shop bought for little ones now. A hat maybe a bit different though.
That is what I was hoping for, a lovely hand made keepsake to show you've put a lot of work in to making something for them.
