my electric shower is turned to the lowest temperature possible but is running very hot. it runs scalding hot when the weather is hot outside and when the central heating has been on, you can hear it boiling inside and overheating. but has anyone out there any ideas why this happens ?  if i stay in too long it trips out aswell and switches off from the main electric box.

Not a leccy or a plumber but I think there might be something majorly wrong with it, especially if its tripping out at the meter

Make sure the cold water supply to the shower is fully open, have you turned the inlet supply to the house down or decreased the water pressure in any way?

Has the spray-head been cleaned..

Water ambient temperature always increases in hot weather.
