Cucumber Question

I'm having a few connection problems so if I don't reply to any answers in a reasonable time you know why!
Have been given a few home grown cucumbers, a vegetable I don't normally buy as I'm not too fond of it. How does it go in vegetable soup - have lots of veggie so thought I'd add some and freeze a load of veggie soup for when it gets colder. Any views please?

Fresh, chilled mint and cucumber soup, yum. Freezing it to serve hot doesn't float my boat.

How about pickling it ether as a cucumber pickle or as part of piccalilli or another chutney?

Having said that peeling it and de seeding as part of a mixed veg soup, it could get easily lost.

The second option is the one I'll go for EcclesCake - I'm really not too fond of the actual taste but didn't want to waste them so if I can hide them in soup I'm happy - have never cooked them so wasn't sure how they coped. The pigs have the same opinion as me - they turn their stubby noses up at them! Thank you

Chooks like cucumber, well mine do!

I've used cucumber in stir fry quite often, it's OK, fresh taste and holds it's texture well.

Never thought of the chooks -will give the tortoises (4) a treat too, they will bite my hand off for some - appreciate the advice/suggestions. Stay well

They'll be fine in soup - you won't even notice them. Or, if you've got loads of apples and a juicer they're a brilliant addition.
