Stopping the postie taking shortcuts
6 Answers
I have just spent a lot of time and money having a new front drive installed and landscaping my front garden. I have got a quadrant filled with ornamental grasses and rocks and covered with gravel. I have a temporary postman at the moment and he seems to be taking a short cut across my newly created bed to get to my neighbours stepping on to an area where they have planted some bulbs on the other side of the wall I had built. So we are both annoyed about this, but never see him to complain. I don't really want to have to put a sign up in the garden saying 'please don't walk on my garden' or anything like that, but what else can I do. I have tried moving the wheelie bin right over next to the area concerned, but he just seems to bypass it. I can tell by where his footprints are sinking into the heavy clay soil (another reason for not wanting him to walk on it). Any ideas AB'ers?
