I bought the above kettle in December and if I try to fill it before it cools down, condensed steam pours down the handle and scalds me. Has anyone else had this problem. Russell Hobbs are not interested.

One of the reasons that jug-style kettles are a better choice....
You could place the kettle down next to the sink, remove the lid and fill with a polythene jug kept solely for the purpose. Your hand won't be in danger then.
Can you put a cloth around the handle if you need to fill it directly after it has been used ?
If this is the design that has been sold by RH for ages, where the lid detaches completely to fill and the handle is above it, then yes I know the problem.

I used the fill it with cold water into the exit spout, even though it is quite small. Keeps the lid in place.
Put it down to experience and buy a better design of kettle.
