Hi mullein, I like Monty too he seems like a really nice person & I love his laid back manner. He doesn't believe in over tidying a garden which is fine by me too.
Love Diarmuid - very fanciable! Not all of his designs are over the top or whacky - saw him do a traditional garden & it was one of the loveliest I'd ever seen.
Also very gorgeous is Cleve West & some of his designs are amazing but we don't see much of him on tv. Neither do we see enough of Bob Flowerdew - I love to listen to him when he's on GQT on Sundays on Radio 4, he's hilariously funny. The funniest comment I heard him make was when someone told a woman to prune her ground cover roses to 6 ins above the ground. His advice was to prune them to 6ins below the ground!! Obviously not his favourite plants!
Oh nearly forgot, Sven Wombwell is good too....oh & the lovely Chris Beardshaw.... In fact anyone who can use a garden spade is good for me!
I like Alan Titchmarsh but think we are suffering from overload with him at times.I did meet him in Wyvales in Morden when we lived in London and he signed my book. A nice chap actually. But Monty Don does it for me....he could talk me about anything and not necessarily gardening!!!
