Potty Training Polly

Polly has just turned 2. Talks a lot, understands everything and knows stuff about going to the toilet. I have been training her now for two weeks and she still won't go in the toilet, soon as I put pants on her she pees herself.

Are there any suggestions or tips?

I am exhausted. I have bought a potty, a toilet seat and a little pink footstool for her, and bed mats, pants everything, rewards etc

Leave it for a while. Try again in a couple of months. Don't exhaust yourself, she'll get there.

...it was the little pink footstool that told me that Polly was not a parrot. Sorry, Phleb! :-(

phleb listen.... don't let your anxiety show in any way whatsoever. Tone of voice, facial expression, body language, and more!!! The little girl will teach herself if you will only give her a chance to.......................

Agree with everyone who says wait, don't hide the potty etc - leave them visible, she may surprise you.

Also, if like most 2 year olds she follows you to the loo , when you've been always smile broadly and say 'Lovely that's better', she'll get the message soon.
