I have subscribed in the past to newsletters from craft magazines & other sites. Decided months ago to unsubscribe from these & I get a message saying I've been successfully unsubscribed but the emails still arrive in my inbox. I just delete them now without opening them but is there any to stop these completely?

Look for a 'Contact Us' link on a relevant website to send an email directly to the site owner.

thank you Buenchico. I have already contacted one of the companies but to no avail. I will just delete them now without opening.
cant you mark emails from this site to be directed to your junk mail ?
I had the same thing, I had to block them. Its an option too...Good Luck
I email the company directly on the Contact us button and tell them that I am sick of receiving their marketing emails and trying to unsubscribe from them. I tell them this is negative advertising and that I'm telling everyone I meet not to buy from them as they will never get rid of them. I have always had an apology and no more marketing. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the further replies. I will try to block these emails. Never seen an option for doing this on Gmail but then again, I've never looked!
