I live in a top floor flat. My sink and shower are connected to the same waste pipe (as far as i can make out) Now, when i take a shower, the pipe sounds like its filling with water, and then it stops flowing down the plug, and just sits in the bottom of the shower. It drains incredibly slowly. I have also found, when i run water into the sink, that the plughole pipe in the shower, makes bubbling noises, then the water from the sink, come up through the hole in the shower!! I've tried different methods, thinking it could be blocked..tried mr muscle, hapic powerjet, domestos plughole unblocker..but nothing touches it. anyone know whats wrong?

Sounds like you have a blockage (partial) lower down from your flat.  I once spent ages looking for a similar fault and discovered it was a drain pipe on the outside wall which had lost a clip and so formed a long slow curve (like a U-trap).  Straightened the pipe - mended!  Good luck.
Is it possible that your shower plughole could be blocked by a build-up of hair?  I have this problem occasionally and it's caused by my wife's long hair getting tangled round the drain hole.  Try something with a hook eg a crochet hook or similar and you might be amazed at what comes out.
Good luck.
