Is it ok to empty used tomato growbag contents on the garden? The reason I ask is at the back of my mind,I'm sure I was told you can't,something to do with toxins.
Thanks Mick

I have done it in the past - just make sure there aren't any vine weevil grubs in it, but the birds can usually be counted on to catch them.
it won’t be any use for growing things but the fibre will improve the soil and it makes a good mulch. growbag soil tends to get sour over the course of its use which is what you may be half remembering
and Alan Titchmarsh says try putting in a catch crop before you empty them

That's what I did with mine. Gotta do something with 'em.
I always recycle growbag compost e.g. in next year's spud trenches, on the salad patch etc etc - never had any problems.
