Who invented Cupboards? And Shelves and Drawers and all the things like that??

The man who invented the cupboard was George Cupboard in 1215, and it was named after him. Before then people's belongings just lied on the floor in a heap.

Shelves and Drawers were invented by the same man, he had a double barrelled name Richard Shelves-Drawers, so they were both named after him.

In fact he invented shelves before they invented walls so he had nowehere to hang them. It was not until fifty years after he died that walls were invented, and only then did people find a use for shelves.

The first drawers he invented had no base, so when people put things in them they just fell on the floor. Only just beofre his death did he put a base in the drawer and they became an overnight sucess, but alas he died before he could reap the benefits.

By the way, the ball point pen was invented by Laslo Biro.

surely prehistoric man were putting their bits and bobs on ledges in caves etc...  I dont think we can really say who "invented" shelves, they seem more evolved than invented.
