My tree is 6 years old and I have had an abundance of good pears each year. However this year its leaves were covered in black spot, The tree grows to a max of 7 to 8 feet tall and I prune it after the frosts have finished. Is there a treatment i should give it at this time to avoid black spot in the future.

Its been a bad year for fungal infections of which black spot is one. They are always worse during warm humid spells. The answer is airflow and cleanliness. Prune the tree so that the air can get around and through the head. make sure that the ground around it is clear. Pick up all the debris from around the tree and all the prunings and remove them, don’t compost...
