I think I have told you that both next door neighbours smoke constantly pretty much 20 hours a day (they don't sleep too well) but the smoke seeps into me.

My friend called in last Wednesday and she smokes and I allow her to do so. However, even when she was smoking (I didn't say to friend) but still I could smell neighbours' smoke again.

Anyway cutting a long story short - next door neighbour has told me her and hubby haven't bought cigs in about 8 months but now use roll-ups.

She told me the roll-ups are so skinny and her and hubby are doing very well along with the vapour pipes. She is now suffering from COPD.

Is she kidding herself - as I as non-smoker think the roll-ups are far far stronger. Any opinions would be welcome as I could understand the seeping smoke to me.

I guess with the 3 of them hubby, wife and daughter - they smoke outside but more near me than them. So it seems to never clear.
She will have gone to roll ups due to cost, they are no better for your health.
Question Author
Don't understand if you have been diagnosed with COPD why do you continue to kill yourself with more smoking. Am truly baffled.
Yes conne, rolling tobacco is st..nger and smellier
Question Author
Mamy - it has been due to cost if the 2 of them smoke constantly. As I type now and my computer room is at the far end of the house - I can smell new smoke. Unbelievable.

Depends on what baccy their using jj.
JJ because the person is an addict pure and simple, sad I know.
Question Author
Yes I know TonyAV - people would think that but I know deffo not waccy baccy. No.
Tony means different brands have different smells.
I didn't mean waccy baccy, jj. There are quite a few types of ordinary rolling baccy though.
They would be happy happy neighbours conne if it were waccy baccy.
Question Author
Right - but brands wouldn't mean a toss to me but I sorta resent the seeping smoke - sometimes I sorta get difficulty in breathing naturally - I just go - oh Jesus another one lights up and it goes on all day and night. I would say deffo they survive on about one hour or two hours sleep a day easy so the rest is smokerettes.
Question Author
Oh they are not happy - lots and lots has happened to them - 4 or 5 suicides. Early siblings death - they have had so much on their plate. And sibling rivalry/splits. Now they could write a best-selling novel.
I'm glad I don't live next door to you.
Question Author
I guess you are a smoker Jackdaw and I am glad you don't live next door to me. I do have enough smokers.

I don't know how you get the smoke through your walls, jj. I have been a smoker, and I've lived with smokers when I was not a smoker. I've never noticed smoke coming through walls.
Question Author
Don't forget I am not that bad as I allow friends to smoke in my living room - so you can imagine that the smell is terrible
Question Author
I do understand Cloverjo - but even sista smells them of a Sunday and she was a smoker until about 4 years ago.

Do think it is the way houses are built -semi-detached. It is incredible.

I do think my smell has heightened as I have gotten older - I think.

Cos I can smell their Ulster Frys, and neighbour has OCD and constantly cleans throughout the day and night. I had the audacity to ask her some years ago what "lovely" smell she cleaned with - oh - washing powder - I change the mop bucket constantly.
