Valentines day is just a rip off.Card and flower shops lapping it up not to mention the restaurants! By the way, that's Mrs Wimps opinion too before you all start slagging me off for not being romantic. My personal opinion is,be nice to the person you love every day and not just for the one day a year. Every day should be special!!

I feel the same. My partner and I have never exchanged cards or presents.

Exactly what I said earlier.
We can, and do, buy treats all year 'round at non inflated prices, the idea that one day is so special is for those with more money than sense ;o)
Very true, bit then isn't all special occasions and holiday themes commercialised? It's all about making money I'm afraid....
I quite miss the anonymous card....always in a red envelope.....that was on the doormat on every Valentine's Day......and the fun guessing who on earth could have sent it......??

Strange though.....haven't had one since MrG died.....♥
ah G xx I got card flowers and choccies !
...but then, if I had an anonymous card in the post, I'd be quite excited :-)
Its a day to pronounce your love & doesnt need to be expensive.

Something I do most days, not just just Valentines Day.
Happy valentine to £%¥₩0$....;)
Why have a special day to pronounce your love.? I'd rather have a bunch of flowers from a Garage as a surprise any other day than a huge £50 bunch of half dead roses on Valentines
I fib a little about not having one since, Patsy.......MrG....well my anonymous sender I mean.....always used a red envelope....

The year after he died there actually was a red envelope delivered by post......I went cold when I saw it.....

It was anonymous......but had lots of clues.....a friend and I worked them out......it was from my creepy stalker......

Quite spoiled my lovely memories of the fun with MrG and red envelopes.......x
It's a VERY special day today anyway, 'cos it's the third birthday of these four:

They're a bit bigger these days though!

Hi gness, long time, hope all is well with you?
ah chris remember you getting them
Valentine's day is fabulous if you are falling in love, some couples make it a special day even after many years together. If you choose not to celebrate thats ok ,those who do, have a lovely day lovers :-)
Hi, Wimp.....thought you'd run off with the postie!... ;-)

I'm fine thanks.......how are you?...x
Normally I'd agree -- but nerts to that for this year...
I used to love it back in the day, but I never get a card now !
I agree - dreadful. It's great for kick-starting something interesting, but an unnecessary rip-off for the staid suburban couple :-)
The ex Mr P didn't "believe" in Valentines day...while I hoped in vain every year. Just a token would have been nice. I came to hate the day.
