Mice In Loft
5 Answers
I live in a rented house and discovered last night that there is either mice or rats in the loft.
Is my landlord responsible for getting pest control out to remove them or am I?
I've checked my tenancy agreement and there's no mention and my letting agent says i'm responsible.
If my landlord is responsible, could anyone advise of any legislation etc confirming this?

I’ve just had to have a new ceiling because the little *** had chewed through the pipework causing the pipes to drip, the ballcock to get stuck, and the water tank to overflow.
In fact the painter is upstairs right now painting the new ceiling!

Have you complained to your landlord yet? Himself is a landlord and would simply do it to protect his property.....having said that, if I were you, I would ring pest control at the local council and get them on the case and advise my landlord that I had done this....I got a problem sorted extremely quickly. Quick easy and efficient and pleasant chaps too.
