Bike lock problem

The other night I locked up my back only to find in the morning some muppet while trying to pinch it had totally messed up the lock. Now its chained up and no one can free it. Any suggestions -I don't think a hack saw will do it and I don't want to shell out for some bolt cutters?

Explain to the police - I should think they'd want to help - rather than leave you to have to "steal" your own bike back!

If the police can't assist, your Yellow Pages will provide the number of a local tool hire firm who will provide a set of bolt cutters for a small fee - cheaper than buying.

Blimey, it comes to something when people try to steal someone's back. You must be a heck of a heavy sleeper not to have noticed. Just make sure they don't come back for your front, cos' then you'd look daft.
