what temp are you using ? what programme ? are you tumble drying ?
Sounds like you need some water softener, some fabric softener would help too.
You could always sell your iron.
I like it OG! :o}
Thats a thing I only learnt over the weekend from some passing stranger that you can actually reset you washing machine if it is giving some problems .
sounds like too hot a wash / wrong programme.. 30° 40° max on an easy wash ..only do cotton wash for cotton like linen , do not overspin...
And line dry if you can.
In my opinion the drum in washer dryer isn't big enough.
put shirts ..T shirts..jumpers etc on hangers when wet to dry outdoors if poss..if not hang in a dry/ventilated room..same with trousers..most clothes will not need ironing or very little.....
indeed as ummmm says don't overstuff !!
Are you trying to dry a full load of washing without removing any items?

Few, if any, machines have the same capacity for drying that they have for a washing load. Hence, your drying load is over full and cannot move freely about which is why everything is so wrinkly.
always try and dry outdoors or naturally...tumbling over dries and results in difficult ironing
As Eccles said also a washer dryer is not the same as a tumble dryer and if you dry them too much they do come out wrinkly and impossible to iron. I save the drying function for underwear and towels and only dry cotton for 20 minutes then finish off over airers or the bannister for large items
Washer/dryers are very inefficient at both jobs. Get rid and replace it with a washing machine and a separate tumble dryer.
You'll never get decent results using a combined washer/dryer. If you have to use one only put 1/2 the maximum load in, say 4Kg maximum at one time.
^^ Yes, if you read the instructions the maximum dryer load is about half the maximum wash load. That is why I said only do a half load if you want to wash and dry on the combined cycle.
//You'll never get decent results using a combined washer/dryer//
I disagree I get very good results using a combined machine and have done for the last 6 years!!
Not everyone has room for both, Eddie.
You do the opposite to me Islay. I put clothes out and finish them in the dryer. If you get them while they are hot you have minimal creases.
I've a washer dryer and only use the dryer if I absolutely have to. As everyone has said you can't possibly dry the whole washed load - you have to take out at least half first.
The clothes are easier to iron if they are not bone dry.
