I Met A Lovely Notjobsworth Man.....

I had an appointment in town......should be quick so I parked in the 40p Pop and Shop car park....handy, but they are strict about timing.

Made it back to the car just as the hour was up but, not having eaten all day, I decided to tuck into my M&S sandwich before moving....nobody about.....I thought....

Knock at the window.....it was the car park attendant and there was I ten minutes over my time..... guess I'd have to show him my ticket and pay up....... :-(

No need, he said, I've seen it.....but just wanted to tell you.....don't rush.....finish your sandwich before you leave........
He smiled, winked and toddled off.......
How nice was that!

Tuna and Mayo, Patsy....just about my favourite especially with some crunch added...just discovered tubs of crispy onion bits......put them on just about everything....well not pudding.....x

I once parked in a car park in Wakefield. I bought a ticket and put it in the car. I got talking to the attendant, who said that he never checked the tickets to see if they had stayed over their time. 'If they've bought a ticket,' he said, 'that's good enough for me.'

I have a small appetite, Marval....would usually only eat half but I felt obliged to eat the lot....it was nice though....x

That's a good attitude, bookb.......I know some who've issued tickets for just a few minutes...this chap looked so happy and cheery in his work......so I guess he has a kind nature....x

This afternoon, my daughter made a visit, and she was pleased as punch.
She had called a plumber to sort out her shower, who came about 2hrs later.

She made him a cuppa, he fixed the problem in 15 minutes, and when she asked him how much, he said, that's ok, I would feel guilty taking money for a small job, and you made me a cuppa.

When she forced him to take £10, he gave her a fiver back, and said, call me if you or your friends have any problems.

That makes a nice change!
