My kitchen mixer tap is swivelling left and right.
I'm scared it will come off and cause an almighty flood.
It won't will it? What can I do?

Go under the sink or surface that it is mounted on and tighten up the nut.
Don't worry unless you do something silly like bending it over you should not cause a flood. If it is worktop mounted has it loosened due to the worktop itself breaking down?
Youtube 'loose mixer taps' for fixes. Quick job with the right tools but you might manage with pliers

Phew, thanks. I'll have a look on YouTube.

Togo, the worktop looks in perfect condition, it's only about 3 years old. Assume it's just come loose somehow.
That is good then. It sounds as though the nut that is holding the mixer down to the worktop has come loose. It will be quite a big, about 2 inches across probably, nut. Tighten it up and then get someone in to check it out if you are not confident of your own repair. It is not unknown for the worktop to break up underneath if it is not reinforced and sealed on fitting. Seen it.
