I Have Had A Lovely Day Today.

Walk around a local nature reserve with Tilly.
Home for bacon and egg baguette.
Read The Guardian and had a stab at the crossword, bit of gardening.
Two and half hour walk around local country park. (Without Tilly, who can't manage that much walking.)
Now having a glass of cold Pinot Grigio whilst tea cooks.
Lovely, lovely day.

Sorted dinner for later as I wanted to watch the Ladies final of the French Open Tennis grand slam. My favourite didn't win but she put up a good fight. The winner, a feisty young Latvian, 20 years old winning her first ever tournament. What a player, she will go very far. Remind me of Sharapova.

Home alone Tills. " She who must be obeyed" is in Amsterdam with two of her work colleagues. They are currently on the top of the Heineken building having a lager or two. I have had a great day with cricket, Lions rugby, horse racing, football, grand prix and my iplayer on full blast slobbing a day away. Bacon & egg on oatcakes for brekkie, prawn sarnie and San Miguel for lunch and a lasagne(made by me) with a glass or 3 of shiraz half hour ago. I have let the dog root about in the soil, drink from the dirty puddles and lick the pots that have rainwater on them. I also let her have a few prawns. I slept for 10 hours last night after poll duty on Thursday, and have also been in touch with 3 brothers and my son. Great day. Will have a shave tomorrow, ***. :))
Tilly, your day sounds wonderful! Enjoy your wine, I shall finish a bottle here, there's a good glass left in it. I've had a lovely day with my granddaughter. She brought a toy monkey home from nursery on Friday, if a child has been very good, Marvin the monkey comes home on loan for the weekend ... along with a diary ;0) We .. and mum and dad have to record what Marvin and granddaughter got up to! So, we baked cupcakes and decorated them with Marvin, took a pic and you send them that too! So funny x
Evening, Tilly......
Lazy day here....must make up for it......perhaps a long walk tomorrow.....
Most of the day spent on the balcony.....the views are stunning and interesting.....people to watch too......
It's a glorious evening....the sunset will be worth watching with a glass of red and some chocolate....
Westport House across the road has some lovely grounds to walk in.....and a new big wheel that I think I'll be going on alone.......
They also have a new bird of prey centre which I must suss out......Gx
