On Saturday I cleaned the gas hob and the ignition switch kept firing. I have had this problem before and it was due to water getting into the switch. I turned the power off and left it to dry out while I was away but I have got back today and it is still firing. I ran the grill which is underneath for 20 mins or so to try and dry it out but it is still doing it and I have had to turn the power off again. Would it be worth spraying some WD40 around it or would that be dangerous?
