Wahsing Powders - White Cotton Going Grey
10 Answers
I have used Persil Non Bio for a long time and been happy, but recently I've noticed that my cotton clothes are looking really grey. I always assume that man-made fibres (particularly nylon) will lose their whiteness, but cotton shouldn't. Can anyone suggest a good whitening detergent.

All you need to do is to select a washing powder that lists optical brightners amongst it's ingredients on the packaging. You won't notice the differeence during the first few washes, but it your laundry will appear whiter than normal after some washes. There is absolutely no need to spend more money on Vanish and the like.
The chances are that your current washing powder has either no optical brightners or a lower than normal amount.
