This Friday I am having a wooden shed delivered. When I ordered it, the man said treat it as soon as possible with an oil based product. He didn't specify a particular product, and I've no idea what to buy.I am going to a place called tool station to buy it as we no longer have a B&Q near where I live. This is a link to the products they sell.

I think the older alba used Cuprinol on his wooden shed.
Any plans for the roof? If memory serves me correctly, he used some form of tarpaulin to cover it, as he's at work at the moment, I can't ask him. sorry x
Ask the staff in the shop , they will know which is the best product to use.

Alba, it already comes with a tarpaulin roof so no need to worry about that.
Eddie, Toolstation is a bit like Argos. They have a catalogue and you fill in a slip of paper with the product code, and the staff just get your item.Last time I was in there, the young lad was having difficulty working out how to give me a refund so pretty sure he wouldn't know which product I need.:-)
Dare I suggest you be cheeky and phone a local d-i-y shop and pick their brains?

There are so many products on the market these days at differing prices, sometimes a cheaper one will be just as good as an expensive one.

I did think of doing that Alba, but I hate having to phone about something I know nothing about in case I show myself up with lack of knowledge. I suppose I could try the place where I bought it from or (just thought of this) perhaps the men who deliver and construct it might know?
Can you not phone the people from whom you're buying the shed for a recommendation?
Tell them that a neighbour has told you that they've heard you can't get creosote anymore for coating wooden fences etc and they need something to re-fresh their wooden fence?

Elderly couple, no access to internet etc, etc, lay it on thick :-D

Thanks minty. On the link that I put on, there was this one, and it looks similar to the one you have recommended. They don't sell Ronseal at the place I am going to, so perhaps this one?
