When Are You Particular About Having Privacy At Home?

Some of us like to have a lot of privacy at home, some are not so fussed about it, some don't seem bothered at all. When you're at home after dark and you have lights on, in which of the following situations would you close your living room curtains?: A. If you are in on your own B. Baths, I think going around in knickers only is fine with curtains closed as PP sometimes does, though I'll have to leave PP to answer your question regarding being laydee or cross-dresser!

I close the curtains when it gets dark, I also have blinds that I close in the living room. I don't worry about the blinds in the kitchen, nobody is going to see anything they shouldn't.

I used to live on the top floor of a tower black and had no curtains, lovely views.
Bit of shock one morning when I got out of bed and there were workman outside in a cherry picker....

Now in the house it's blinds closed when the sun goes down.

I wish one of my neighbours, over the back fence, was as careful.

She gets up, pulls back the bedroom curtains, disappears into the bathroom and comes back to the bedroom to get dressed. Dark mornings are very revealing.

I close my blinds and curtains once it gets dark, makes the place seem more cosier, I don't worry about who's looking in or not, it's just a matter of comfort, tonight, I will leave them open that bit longer after sunset as I hope to see the meteor shower, my neighbour on the other hand, sits on her bed knitting, sewing whatever and has the fcurtains wide open, she's just showing off her latest diy job that I couldn't give a monkeys about

Used to half-close the blinds and like others, various lamps on timers.

Some years back, was in lounge, sitting at pc and on AB when a man chapped on my lounge window to ask if 'so-and-so' was in as he was a mate.
Hah, couldn't have been a mate cos he was at the wrong house.
I know go about the comfort of my own home wearing some clothes.

It's always closed curtains for me once the lights come on...I like my privacy. I'm on the top 2 floors of a small block of maisonettes and I figure if I can see into others then they can see into mine.

ducksie, it seems like your neighbour is putting on a knitting exhibition but does not have an interested spectator in you! I have blinds and curtains in my living room. I usually close the blinds on a night, they are slightly see through but I'm not that bothered about it.
When I host a girls night, which I do regularly, I close the blinds first and the then curtains as well just to make sure any prying eyes can't see anything as want complete privacy on those nights!

I don't think she has interested spectators in anyone, even her hubby's hit the pub, I run for it when I see her making her way to my front door . If I was having a girls night in, she would not be on the guest list, maybe I'd leave my blinds open for her then ;)

ducksie, your neighbour sounds like she's a lone exhibitionist, especially if even her own hubby leaves her to it and hits the pub! It might be interesting for you to have a girls night in you leave your blinds open to see what she makes of it! On my girls nights I leave the curtains open until we are all in so that I can see when the girls start arriving and I can then let them straight in. I've seen some of my neighbours who live opposite having a good look whilst I let the girls in, so once we are all in I close the blinds and then the curtains as well. They probably stand there staring at my covered window just wondering what we are getting up to!

I guess I am a bit of a little minx mamyalynne! I do really enjoy the girls nights in we have. Though we just chat, eat, drink, sometimes play a few games and dance to music until the early hours! I always keep them private though, so it's blinds and curtains both closed for the whole night!

Never. We live in the back end of nowhere so someone looking through the windows would be the height of excitement, shortly before the dogs ate them :-)
