I think ellena just means the infil piece between the window frame and the arched brick lintol. If so, yes, they will replace this. Would be daft to leave a piece of material which could rot.
No believe me, it's not fancy OG . I want to know whether this bit is replaced when having pvc replacement Windows installed. I can point to it, but I want to look at similar on my tablet for comparison.
I suppose it will depend on a couple of things.
Is it structural or decorative and does it form part of the original or is it separate.
The guy who measures for your new glazing will probably be able to give the answer you need.
I already questioned this at the start of the quote Douglas, will that .. pointing to the wooden arch be replaced as pvc? Yes, it should come off no problem was the answer ( their boss) It has been off, but has gone back on. The guys are back today to do any remaining work. I will question this with them. They've done a brilliant job, just this I am questioning.
My pure guess would be that if it didn't need replacing, it wouldn't be. The window replacers would surely prefer to just swop out the rectangular window part.
