Unvented Hot Water System
2 Answers
We had one of these fitted a couple of years ago along with a new boiler. I'm not sure if my timing in is correct or if I'm wasting energy.
Does anyone have one of these systems that can help?
The cylinder is 300 litres. There are two showers to be had in the morning and 1 in the evening, with maybe a bath. How long would you put the hot water on for in the morning? And do you think it should be put on again in the evening, or will the water hold at a decent temperature?

I wouldn't restrict it to just one top-up per day. You're going to use a lot of energy, plus quite a long time to heat such a large hot water store if it cools down.
One longish period in the morning, and again in the evening at least. For households that use a large amount of hot water, it's well worth leaving it on all the time. As I mentioned above, it takes some time to heat up a large cylinder from scratch.
