Ground Source Heating Systems

Hi, has anyone any experience of the above central heating systems either cost or efficiency as opposed to oil systems? Thanks

There is one in the centre of Southampton. I am not sure they are cost effective for single dwelling use.

My son has one as they live in a small village with no gas supply.
He says it is both cheap and efficient. But you can't get 'spot heat' or instant heat. It is more like the heat from storage radiators.

I would add that for it to be efficient a well insulated house is essential.
