Thursday. Cloudy, but not as cold as we were told it would be. It's dry too. wonderful!

My meeting at the council offices went very well. I had my two lovely ladies to talk things over with. They are both on my side and the senior one pays the contractors :o} She is withholding payment to them until they have settled my claim. I love it! I made them laugh and we parted good friends.

The wee men have been told to phone me and be here today to paint the ceiling, replace the broken washbasin and remove the tile adhesive from the floor. I'm still waiting for the phone to ring!

It should all be over today, but I'm not holding my breath!

Have a happy day everyone.

Morning boaty,
Bit nippy but raining here in N. Wales, 3 and a bit hours to go of my shift, nothing to do before then, hopefully. Catching up on the cricket via TMS, almost England's morning, honours even losing that second wicket just prior to lunch, 91-2 at the interval.

Morning chill. Sounds like England have finally woken up. As long as they stay awake they might get a result!
Good morning to all that visit.

Fingers crossed Boaty. For your shower room, not the English cricket team ;-/

Afternoon cobber. I think it's just a matter of time now. As long as I don't muck it up in the email it'll be fine.

How's things in puɐןdnǝpısuʍop today?

:o} I'll be pleased when summer gets here.

I've got 'em on the ropes mate. With the council firmly on my side it's just a matter of time.
Guess you're not on the contractors xmas card list.

And wouldn't want to be.
Question Author
You got that right mate! I discovered that they withdrew from the contract. The old story, jump or be pushed.
Hopefully they will walk away feeling worse for wear.

A council contract could be a very lucrative contract to have and they stuffed it.

I was a contractor to the NSW State Government for 16 years, easy street, just perform, then sold the contract for three times what I paid for it, tax free!!
Morning Boaty xx chilli xx OZ xx
G'day Minty, how many days until, err, umm, some day we should celebrate?
Question Author
Indeed it really is that simple. But as you know mate, a company is only as good as the person at the top. A good business person and you have a good company, an eejit at the top and you've a cowboy outfit.
Boaty ..the council should be compensating you not the workteam company..the contract was between the council and them....not you... your contract with the council is for your tenancy agreement to provide proper facilities in return for rent... they need to recompense you...NOT the contractor....

Morning minty xxx How are you this morning?

The wee parcel arrived yesterday. Thank you. :o} I shall have to make some scones.
Not long Oz !! 11 sleeps
Question Author
That's right minty, the council want the money before they pay the bill. I can understand that. I should get more this way.
Question Author
Gosh yes. It is that close isn't it!
Was pooped , came to bed at 7pm last night...finally have had some proper sleep...so feeling better...churches of ALDI, TESCO and a wee run roon LIDL today...
I'm guessing you already know you're not the only Aber born on Minty Day.
Question Author
I'm confined to barracks again today, but it should be the last time, it depends how long it takes to get the tile adhesive off the floor.
