What Is The Most Useless Gadget You Have Ever Bought?

40 years ago I bought a Breville toasted sandwich maker. What a waste of time, space and money. Used it three times then it got binned.

you may have to whack it several times, get the anger out so to speak, make a little dent in side of lid, it should open quite normally,

I have a blue plastic tool from IKEA to break the seal on jars to open..looks like a bottle opener..cost 50 p. Invaluable to me

I've got one of those MM. They are good. Another tip is just to pierce the lid with a screwdriver or tin opener to release the vacuum.

So many funny things in Lakeland, a plastic bag to keep your plastic bags in for instance. I saw, not there, a gadget for halving cherry tomatoes, so fiddly, don't people have knives?
Someone yesterday sounds like they've been rooting through our knife drawer, I don't know what half the stuff's for.

Whoops pressed answer too soon. I found recently lots of metal bits, turned out that they were from a mixer I'd thrown out ten years ago.

no need to nut the jar lid, just a quiet tap or so with a spoon just enough to make a dent in the side of the lid, will put those new top openers in the back of the drawer.

It's just a question of breaking the vacuum, however you choose to do it.

i know, but this is a quick way of doing it.

If it's a metal lid, beetroot etc., stand it upside down in hot water, just enough to cover the lid, expansion does the trick.
